The kickstarter for the cowboy comb actually ended 9 minutes before I could pledge. I still salute you guys and your mustaches.
I ended up pledging to “Designing a Map for the Dallas Pedestrian Network” in Dallas, TX.
I just completed an item on my 101 list, “Influence a person to make a day zero list”. My buddy, Josh, made a list after I told him about mine! You can follow his adventures here: http://dayzeroproject.com/user/Kylock.
I ended up lending money to Lyn in the Philippines through Kiva.org because she owns a welding shop! That’s pretty badass, I think! I’m also pledging some money to “The Original Cowboy Comb” on Kickstarter.com. I was only mildly interested in the project until I saw the guys behind the project. How can I turn down 2 guys with awesome mustaches?
Today I start my journey to do 101 things in 1001 days. To kick things off I sent an email to my future self through futureme.org that I’ll receive on February 27, 2014 (1001 days from today). If you haven’t done this before, I highly suggest it. Receiving an letter from your past self is pretty incredible.
I’ll be posting my progress here but you can also track/view my Day Zero list here http://dayzeroproject.com/user/MongooseDoom
Everytime I complete something on my list, I will donate money to a project on kickstarter.com and a classroom on donorschoose.org. Since I completed my first task, I will me donating to a DIY podcast, Destination DIY, and to “More Robots, More Engineers for the Future!” in hopes that the kids don’t create robots that kill people. That’s always good.
